Racing season for first Croatian Mini Tribunj 232 is finished. Great job in qualifications for solo Atlantic race, Mini Transat 2007 has been accomplished.

With great effort and help from colleagues sailors friend, Sime sucesfully finished 3 very demanding regattas is the Mediterranean which are prerequisites to participate in the Transat 6,50 next year. He sailed with colleagues from Croatia and France on 500 nm races (each 900 km) and even with very low, almost no budget, showed that he can compete with best sailors in this class in the Med. Triangle du Soleil - 5th position, Mini Max - 5. position, Mini Med - 11. position.


On the August 9th, second part of qualifications was finished, where sailor needs to prove that he is capable of solo sailing on the given route, not shorter than 1000 nm (1850 km). Sime's route, approved by Mini class, was from Port Camargue, France to Tribunj, Croatia - Croatian mini's homeport.

On his 1300 nm route (2200 km) Sime had enough time to find out how he'll be functioning on his boat alone, with little sleep and very poor life conditions in meteorologically changeable and dangerous Mediterranean. 
Sime started this Mediterranean adventure on August 29th and finished in Tribunj on August 9th, by satisfactory fulfillment of all the qualification process of this sailing season for first Croatian Mini.
