After winter trainings, perparations and presentations, 232 is finally in the sea, located in Marina Tribunj.
First sea trial was in the Zlarinska regatta where
Matko Polic and myself tested the boat. She is full of surprises that
are common in this class, and it needs some time to get used to the
boat. Especially concerning canting 2d keel that can rotate too and
there are not many keels like this in the world.
There is still lot of work left, optimising mast trim and rewiring electrical installations that were in pretty bad shape.
Hrvoje Duvancic from Sibenik is helping a lot on the electrical part to
get her ready tor the first race. Time is slipping fast and there is
not much time to get everything in perfect condition for Triangle du
Soleil that starts on 20. May from La Grand Motte in south France.
Solar systems and new batteries are onboard with help from Eolmeteo.hr from Split.
To the inventory of 8 sails, 2 new storm sails are included from Dustom sails.
Class rules are very strict concerning necessary equipment which is
sort of hard to find in Croatia and we are working hard to get
everything onboard for the races.
New fibraspars boom will be ready in few days while new carbon mast will wait for the next season.
Ramina rigging company from Split that are speciallists in yacht rigging and equipment are helping too.
Next weekend, 29. April is regatta Sv. Jeline in Vodice where we'll be
sailing and coskipper for next week is Kreso Djakulovic, Croatian 470
sailor.
